Bailey the Behaviour Support Practitioner

I am a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours, Second Class Division A), with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults within the community. My practice is grounded in functional behaviour assessment, reinforcement-based strategies, and person-centred approaches that focus on meaningful and sustainable behavioural change. I am passionate about supporting participants and their families through clear communication, practical strategies, and collaborative approaches that build long-term skills and improve quality of life

Experience

Bailey is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience supporting individuals across the lifespan with a range of developmental, behavioural, and psychosocial needs. He has worked extensively with children and adolescents, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting the development of emotional regulation, social skills, and adaptive functioning. He has delivered behaviour support across educational, community, and clinical settings, using evidence-based, person-centred approaches to understand the function of behaviour and implement practical, sustainable strategies. Alongside this, Bailey has gained hands-on experience within a private psychology practice, supporting a registered psychologist in delivering therapy to children, adolescents, and families, strengthening his skills in clinical documentation, case formulation, and the application of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

Bailey is known for his approachable, rapport-focused style and his ability to communicate behavioural strategies in a clear, practical, and collaborative way. He is committed to ensuring that behaviour support is accessible, consistent, and embedded in everyday routines to support meaningful outcomes.

Training

Bailey holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), where he developed advanced competencies in behavioural assessment, including functional behaviour assessment (FBA), reinforcement principles, and evidence-based intervention design. Bailey is trained in crisis prevention and intervention and has experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural presentations.
