Crystal Cope Speech Therapist

I am a Speech Pathologist with a Masters of Speech and Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences. I am passionate about helping people of all ages to improve their communication skills in order to build social relationships, increase self-confidence and become more independent in daily life.

Paediatric & Adult Speech Therapy

Crystal has extensive experience working with a wide range of children and adults with speech, language, swallowing and communication difficulties. She has worked across a variety of settings including aged care facilities, online telehealth services, schools, kindergarten, and home visits.

Prior to becoming a speech pathologist, Crystal worked for five years with autistic children in schools, day-care and their homes where she developed a passion for early intervention, complex communication needs and for helping children with disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Assessment & Treatment

Crystal has a diverse range of clinical interests including Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), speech, language, gender affirming voice, social communication, and literacy difficulties. She values a holistic approach to therapy and understands the importance of working collaboratively with clients, their families, health professionals and other multidisciplinary team members to create therapy plans that increase the individual’s participation in everyday activities.

Professional Development Completed

Crystal has completed additional training in: The Hanen program ‘It Takes Two To Talk’ (for children with language delays), Advanced Training in Suicide Prevention, Read3 Literacy workshop, Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display and Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (AAC workshops for individuals with complex communication needs).
