Lucy Occupational Therapist

I graduated in the UK in 2021 and have since gained experience across a variety of adult healthcare settings. Throughout my career, I have maintained a person-centred, strengths-based approach, supporting individuals with a wide range of health conditions to achieve goals that are meaningful to them.

While I have a particular passion for mental health, one of the aspects I value most about Occupational Therapy is its holistic approach. Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or condition, Occupational Therapy considers how a person’s symptoms impact their daily life, participation, relationships, and overall wellbeing. I am passionate about working alongside individuals to identify barriers, build on their strengths, and develop practical strategies that support independence and meaningful engagement in everyday activities.

In my role as Team Leader, I continue to maintain a clinical caseload while supporting and mentoring clinicians within the team. I am committed to fostering a collaborative and positive team culture while ensuring clients receive high-quality, individualised care. I bring a warm, compassionate and enthusiastic approach to my work and enjoy partnering with clients, their support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Adult Mental Health

Mental health is a key area of interest and expertise within my practice. I have experience supporting individuals living with a range of mental health conditions, including Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Personality Disorders. I have also worked extensively with individuals who experience overlapping mental health and neurodevelopmental challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.

Through a person-centred and strengths-based approach, I work collaboratively with individuals to identify barriers, build capacity, develop practical strategies and support engagement in meaningful activities that promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

Neurological Conditions

I have experience supporting individuals living with a range of neurological conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia. I work collaboratively with clients and their support networks to understand the impact of these conditions on daily functioning and participation.

Using a strengths-based and person-centred approach, I support individuals to develop practical strategies, access appropriate supports and maximise their independence and quality of life, enabling them to engage in the activities that matter most to them.

Report Writing

I have extensive experience completing a range of clinical assessments and reports, with a strong focus on producing high-quality, evidence-based recommendations that support client goals and funding outcomes. My experience includes completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), Home and Living Assessments, and Assistive Technology (AT) Request Forms.

I take a holistic approach to assessment and report writing, ensuring recommendations are tailored to each individual’s needs, strengths, circumstances and future aspirations while clearly demonstrating the functional impact of their disability and support requirements.
