Amanda Psychologist & Behavioural Support Practitioner

I am guided by a strengths-based and person-centred approach, support individuals across the lifespan to enhance their skills, deepen self-awareness, and achieve meaningful growth.

Therapeutic Approach

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Amanda is a registered provisional psychologist currently completing her internship in Australia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brazil, where she also worked as a research volunteer in the field. Amanda also has experience working with both adults and children across a range of presentations. In addition to her clinical work, she practices as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Amanda holds current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Areas of Interest

Amanda is passionate about working with diverse populations and supporting individuals across a broad range of presentations. She values seeing the strengths and potential beyond any diagnosis and works collaboratively with clients to help them recognise and build on their own capabilities.

Amanda adopts a flexible, individualised approach, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs and developing strategies together in a collaborative and empowering way. She is also passionate about assessments and recognises their important role in informing daily functioning, guiding treatment planning, and supporting meaningful outcomes.

Additional Training

Amanda has undertaken additional professional development in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy.
