Jody

Jody Dwyer

I am an Occupational Therapist with a Master of Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I am passionate about collaborating with clients and maximising their independence all aspects of their life.

Jody is an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist and Director of Therapy Partners, with over five years’ experience assessing functional capacity and delivering high-quality reports across a range of clinical and external referral contexts.

His work focuses on understanding how injury, disability, and psychosocial factors impact a person’s day-to-day functioning, independence, and support needs. Jody has extensive experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments, Home and Living Assessments, and other comprehensive reports to inform decision-making for individuals, families, and third-party stakeholders.

Jody has worked with individuals presenting with a broad range of physical, neurological, and psychosocial conditions, including spinal cord injuries and complex mental health presentations. He is experienced in identifying functional limitations, risk factors, and support requirements and translating these into clear, practical recommendations.

His reports are structured, evidence-based, and aligned with relevant frameworks, including NDIS requirements where applicable, and are suitable for use across a variety of settings, including funding applications, service planning, and legal or administrative review processes.

As Director of Therapy Partners, Jody maintains a strong focus on quality, consistency, and delivering reports that are clear, defensible, and useful for all stakeholders involved.

Paediatrics

Jody has significant experience in working with children with a host of conditions including autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, intellectual disability, down syndrome, and those impacted by trauma. He has two children and understands the value and role that an occupational therapist can play in maximising a child’s function and putting their parent’s minds at ease.

Adults

Comfortable working with all adult populations and conditions, Jody has a particular interest in adult intellectual disability and neurological conditions.

Report Writing

Jody is adept at writing accurate, timely, and most importantly, client-centered reports, including initial assessments, functional capacity assessments, and supported independent assessments, and understand the importance of timely turnaround with these documents.
